That's right everyone, as this Powder Alert is being written it is absolutely bucketing down outside on top of the 53cm already received. 40 lifts are now in operation and more will be coming into play soon. We also have the PlayStation Superpipe, a mini Rider X and three terrain parks for the jibbers. The Bureau is expecting this snow to continue for the next few days, so it seems like we are shaping up nicely for the remainder of the season. If you haven't had your snow fix yet this winter, now is definitely the time. See you here soon! |

Good early snowfalls in May and June had the industry buzzing with anticipation for what was hoped to be a bumper year, only to be let down by weather patterns producing mostly dry, cloudless skies through July, August and September. However, all was not lost.
Two good powder dumps were recorded during the season, making for excellent skiing in early to late August. For the majority of the season, the four resorts of Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Blue Cow and Guthega were interlinked, offering guests the most terrain available in Australia. |
